about us | executive team Richard Lewis - Director Richard is well-known as a specialist in R&D tax reliefs, having previously been a director in Deloitte’s London-based R&D Tax Services group. His R&D knowledge is backed up by a wealth of experience in corporation tax advice and compliance for a number of highly innovative technology companies ranging from developmental start ups to large multinational groups. As well as speaking regularly on R&D tax reliefs to both industry and practice, Richard has written many articles in tax and business publications. He is frequently consulted on R&D matters by tax professionals as well as clients. He has also been heavily involved in meetings and representations with key government departments on the R&D tax relief scheme since its inception in 2000. Richard advises clients from a wide range of industry sectors including software, manufacturing, food, and engineering. He has a science degree from the University of Sheffield and has been a Chartered Tax Adviser since 1993. Tony Christian - Director Tony has a wealth of technology experience, covering engineering, manufacturing, energy and information technology. His early career was in technical R&D roles in the communications and railway industries, following which he moved into the IT industry, firstly with a British computer-aided engineering (design and analysis) company, then as a divisional head of the IT subsidiary of a major international engineering and construction company. Tony joined British Aerospace (BAe) in 1991, leading teams developing and implementing leading edge manufacturing control systems, both in BAe plants and in other companies’ aerospace, automotive and mechanical handling facilities in Europe and the US. He then moved to Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), the global IT consulting and services firm, to lead the UK consulting and systems practice for the process industries. In 1998, Tony joined AVEVA Group plc, the listed engineering IT solutions firm. As Services and Technology Director, he developed the company’s worldwide consulting and managed services business and was responsible for all product development. His role included working with the engineering leaders of major international oil, gas, chemical and utility firms and their design and construction contractors to develop and implement best practice engineering processes and supporting IT solutions for major capital projects and plant operations. Tony has a BSc degree (Mechanical Engineering) and MSc degree (Engineering Acoustics, Noise and Vibration) from the University of Nottingham. return to top
